Zusammenfassung:	A bearing play adjusting assembly is useable to adjust the bearing play in an axle journal of a printing plate cylinder of a rotary printing press. A pressure plate is secured to an end of the axle journal and bears against an inner bushing. A shim plate is placed between the pressure plate and the axle journal end. The thickness of the shim plate can be changed to adjust the bearing play of the cylinder axle journal bearing.
