2-(SOSTITUTE IMMINO)-TIAZOLIDINE E PROCEDIMENTO PER LA LORO PREPARAZIONE

The invention relates to original 2-(imine substituted)- thiazolidines, a process for their preparation, pharmaceutical compositions containing them, use of the said 2-(imine substituted)-thiazolidines for the treatment of diseases, for the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions suitable for the treatment of diseases. The original 2-(imine substituted)-thiazolidine derivatives provided by this invention have the general formula I in which R and R2> each represent halogen, nitro, C1-4 alkoxy or C1-4 alkyl, in which the latter may optionally have one or more halogen substituents, R and R4> are hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl, Z indicates oxygen, sulphur or imine, which latter is substituted by a C1-6 alkyl group or a C1-6 alkenyl group, R is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl, C1- 4 alkylthio or a group having the formula -NHR in which R represents C1-6 alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or C1-6 alkenyl optionally bearing a halogen or C1-4 alkylamino substituent, or Z and R together are a trivalent nitrogen atom, such that if Z indicates a substituted imine group R is C1-4 alkylthio, and if R is C1-4- alkylthio Z is a substituted imine, and further that if Z is sulphur, R is not hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl, and have useful antianginal and analgesic properties.
