Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of operations by connecting a conveyor for a holder to a yarn holder and holding a yarn with the yarn holder during the transfer of a cop from a spindle to each pin of the conveyor for the cop. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus for preparing for a cop for an automatic winder is capable of connecting a yarn holder 6 to a conveyor 16 for the holder 6, sucking a yarn end through a suction tube during the transfer of the cop to each pin of the conveyor 10 for the cop, pulling in the yarn end into the yarn holder 6, holding the yarn end, holding the cop with delivery mechanisms such as forks 12 and 13, sucking the yarn end into a tube 15 and delivering the cop transferred in the interior of an operation range of a clip 19 with an arm 11 together with the yarn end to a conveyor 18 for the cop of a winder.
