PROCEDIMENTO PER LA PREPARAZIONE DI CARBAMMATI AROMATICI DA COMPOSTI NITROAROMETICI

This invention discloses a method to prepare aromatic urethanes via carbonylation by means of nitro-aromatic derivative reduction with carbon monoxide and a compound containing at least one hydroxyl group, in the presence of: (a) a catalyst complying with the general formula (I) [Pd(chel)(chel')]++[A-]2 wherein: chel and chel', identical or different, represent a nitrogenous or phosphorus-containing bidentate chelation agent and A- represents a non-coordinating anion; (b) a nitrogenous or phosphorus-containing bidentate free chelation agent, and (c) a co-catalyst; characterised in that said co-catalyst represents an acid or a mixture of acids complying with the general formula (II): (see form.) wherein R5 and R6, identical or different, may represent an XH group, an alkyl group or an aryl group and X may represent a sulphur atom or an oxygen atom.
