The machine is provided with transducing means (29-29'-30-30') which transmit an electric signal proportional to the mechanical stress undergone, during the interference with the ground of the pickup members, by the pickup members themselves (18-18') or by other parts associated to the movable frame (1) carrying such members. Processing means (45) process the signal emitted by said transducing means and compare it with one or more preset reference values and some means are provided so that, if the signal detected differs from said reference value/s, said means control the intervention of means (46) which start up in turn one or more of any means (4, 8, 17) which can change the lifted position of said movable frame, so that said signal emitted by said transducing means goes back within the limit of the reference value/s, thus indicating a correct interference with the ground of the pickup members of the machine.
