Zusammenfassung: | The tool turret, seen in plan view on the lathe cross-slide, has a turret plate (4) mounted in a housing (3) with a flange-like section (3') and extended sections (3") which passes through a gap (12) in a slide (11). The slide moves vertically on the slideways of a column (16) and provides a Y-axis to supplement the X,Z axes of the lathe. Indexing of the turret is derived from a motor and drive (5). Rotating tools (6) can be driven from the motor (9) through a ring gear (7,8). A stepping motor (23) drives a leadscrew (24) to move the turret along the Y-axis. USE/ADVANTAGE - Low cost design requiring minimal modification to machine. |
