Washing and drying temperature control device for combined clothes washing and drying machine, includes a washing tank (3) with rotating basket (4), a manostat (17) for the loading of the washing bath into the tank (3), another anti-boil manostat (12) of the traditional type, two heating elements (11, 13), respectively for the washing bath, and the drying air, a micro-processor (18) for the selection of the washing and drying cycles to be carried out, as well as thermostatic mechanisms (15, 16) for the regulation of the temperature. The control device includes relay switching mechanisms (19, 20) respectively, activated by moveable contacts (25, 28, 29), to selectively determine the insertion of one or the other of the heating elements (11, 13) respectively, to obtain the maximum heating power during the clothes washing and drying cycles, or for the insertion of the series composed of the two heating elements (11, 13), to obtain a reduced heating potential during the drying cycle.This control device functions in a simple and reliable way, and permits the use of the heating elements in a single branch for the dryer, as well as eliminating the complicated switching mechanisms previously called for, for the repeated insertion and disconnection of the dryer heating elements.
