Zusammenfassung:	The energy-dissipating device, particularly for use in structures subject to earthquakes, consists essentially of two or more metallic beams with broken or curvilinear axes.Each beam has two hinge joints at its ends, one of which ends up at a part of the structure which groups together the hinges of the two or more beams.The hinges of the other end of the beams are linked to another part of the structure.In case of relative movement of the two structural parts, the metallic beams are obliged to deform in the elasto-plastic field, so dissipating the work of deformation by hysteresis of the material giving rise to heat.
