PROCESSO PER LA PREPARAZIONE DI ESTERI DEGLI ACIDI 2-ARIL-ALCANOICI

A process is described for the preparation of arylalkanoic esters (and related acids) (I): (I)where R represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C5 alkyl group and R1 represents an atom of hydrogen or a C1-C5 alkyl group the same or different to R, and Ar represents a phenyl or naphthyl group which may be substituted, by reaction of the corresponding aryl derivative Ar-Y where Y represents a halogen atom, R2SO3- with R2 = -CF3 or C6H5-, possibly substituted, or a phosphonate anion -OP(O)(OR1)2, with a silylketene acetal: RCH = C/OSi(CH3)3/(OR1) and with a carboxylate R3COOM where R3 represents a C1-C10 alkyl group and M represents an alkaline earth metal or a quaternary ammonium cation, in an organic solvent, at a temperature comprised between 25 degrees and 80 degrees, in the presence of a zero-valent palladium catalyst with phosphinic ligands.
