Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To allow micro-adjustment of absorption rate with a simple and cheap structure by including a radially-movable adjusting segment between an inlet opening and an outlet opening of a cam ring in a vane-type machine. CONSTITUTION: A rotary piston 4 is concentrically received inside a cam ring 1 and a radially extending slot 9 is arranged on the outer circumference of the rotary piston 4. Radially-displaceable vanes 5 are arranged in the slot 9. The vanes 5 are urged outward radially with respect to the cam ring 1 by springs 11 arranged in holes 11 at proximal ends 10 of the vanes. The cam ring 1 is provided with a recess between an inlet opening 7 and an outlet opening 3. The recess formed by a cam curve 8 extending outward radially. In this structure, an adjusting segment 2 is inserted in the cam ring 1 between the inlet opening 7 and the outlet opening 3.
