Zusammenfassung:In a method of forming stitches in a circular knitting machine for the production of hosiery and the like goods by means of needles (2) and knock over sinkers (3) so that at the end of lowering the needles (2), over-tensioning of the sinker loops of the stitches (01) is prevented, the working edges of the sinkers have slanted parts (33) corresponding in inclination to the end portion of the working edges of the stitch cams whereby the length of the loops is maintained constant as the sinkers move inwardly.
