Zusammenfassung:	A metal channel element is produced for use in the installation of electrical cables. The channel is produced of thin sheet metal. Elongated holes (3) are formed in the sides and base of the channel section. The corner sections, i.e. where the side walls meet the base, are formed with rectangular elements (8,9) to provide additional stiffening in the longitudinal direction. The top edges of the sides are rolled over (4) to provide additional thickness.
