Zusammenfassung:Anion-exchange fibres are prepd. by (a) forming fibres of polyacrylonitrile, (2) treating the fibres with (i) an aq. soln. of hydrazine hydrate and then with NaOH soln., to convert 5-20% of the CN gps. to COOH gps., or (ii) with an aq. soln. of hydroxylamine to convert 3-10% of the CN gps. to hydroxamine gps., and then (3) treating with an aminating agent, washing and drying. (3) Amination is at 80-95 deg.C, using an aq. soln. of hydrazine hydrate or an alkylene amine (pref. ethylene diamine, triethylene tetramine, or polyethylene polyamine) as aminating agent.
