Zusammenfassung:	A thermally insulated pipe, used in an oil well, consists of an outer pipe and an inner pipe with the space between the two pipes being filled with thermal insulation. The inner and outer pipes are connected to each other by connection pieces and distance rings are fitted in the insulation space at intervals of length. This distance is between 20 and 50 times the diameter of the inner pipe, and is so chosen that the portions of the pipe between distance rings have a slenderness ratio of between 30 and 70.
