Zusammenfassung:For the continuous production of profiled metal strips, having at least two longitudinally-extending zones of different thickness, shaping of the strip 12 by cutting is effected by milling 13 the strip in at least one such zone 14 to a strip thickness which is reduced in comparison to the starting thickness, this milling process being directly followed by a scraping or planing 16 process for the smoothing of the zones of reduced thickness produced as a result of the milling procedure. The strip is intended to be used for making electrical contact elements. The material disclosed is a copper alloy.
