Zusammenfassung:A machine for the automatic handling and distribution of containers, e.g. for arranging the containers in preparation for packing, comprises a conveyor 3 for supplying and advancing containers 1 along a line, a screw 4 extending in the conveying direction of the said conveyor, a device 24 for discharging containers 1 in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the screw 4, for discharging the containers 1 to form rows on a further conveyor 5 having bars 6 mounted on chains 6a. The machine according to the invention allows the containers to be distributed in groups which can thereafter be packaged or encased.
