Agricultural photovoltaic structure 1 comprises a support structure with a frame supporting solar panels 3 and glass (4, fig1) so as to provide a cover over the agricultural land 6 while being able to diffuse light onto it through the glass (4), the structure further comprising irrigation means 7 and lighting means 5 for an underlying agricultural land, wherein the irrigation means 7 include spray nozzles able to wet the lower part of the solar panels 3 so as to cool them, and such that the water then falls by gravity onto the agricultural land 6. A control means activates the irrigation means 7 and lighting means 5 based on sensors. Preferably, temperature sensors are provided on the solar panels 3. By cooling the underside of the solar panels 3 by spraying water, their efficiency is increased, while simultaneously providing drip irrigation to the crops below.
