Zusammenfassung:A method for inspecting tubular elements (1), in particular multi-layer tubular elements, comprising the steps of: feeding a tubular element (1) transversely to its main axis of extension through an inspection station (10) comprising at least one detector (11), in such a way that as the tubular element (1) advances, the detector (11) faces an end portion (2) of the tubular element (1); detecting the end portion (2) of the tubular element (1) by means of the defector (11); generating, using the detector (11), a signal identifying the detection performed. The detector (11) comprises an optical fibre sensor having a detection axis which is substantially parallel to the axis of the tubular element (1). The step of generating the signal is performed by generating a signal representing the walls of the tubular element (1) and the signal is processed to obtain qualitative information regarding the structural integrity of the tubular element (1).
