Zusammenfassung:	A fuel pump (1) for a direct injection system, comprising: a body (2); a pump chamber (4) defined within the body (12); a piston (5) slidably mounted inside the pump chamber (4) to cyclically change the volume of the pump chamber (4); a containment seat (6) defined within the body (2) below the pump chamber (4); a guide sleeve (7) housed in the housing seat (6) and provided with a central bore (8) in which the piston (5) is arranged in a sliding manner; and the sealing washer (9) is inserted between the piston (5) and the central hole (8) of the guide sleeve (7). And a mechanical gap between the central hole (8) of the guide sleeve (7) and the piston (5) is less than 12 microns.
