Zusammenfassung:Roller clamp wheel, held by its axis in side wall guides above the base of the casing, can be moved along them. The wheel is dimensioned to form a clamping space between its periphery and the base, in which the flexible tube is positioned. The base has greater cross sectional thickness than the side walls, which, are thinner than the cover wall. The cover wall is thicker than the base wall. An independent claim is included for the method of modifying a mold used to manufacture roller clamp casings of the type described. This involves movement of a mold core to make the cover wall (51, 52) thicker. Preferred features: Upper and lower sidewalls have smaller cross sectional thickness than the cover wall. The upper sidewalls have cross sectional thickness which is 0.8-1.2 times that of each of the lower sidewalls. Upper and lower side walls have smaller thickness than the base wall (60). Upper and lower sidewalls have the same cross section. Upper sidewalls form the sidewalls of the upper guide section. Sidewalls are connected to the lower side walls (57, 58). Considerably further detail, relative dimensions and materials properties of the formation are provided. Salient features include provision, in addition to open and shut positions, of a region over which the roller can be used to control flow rate. A number of variants based on the foregoing principles are described.
