Zusammenfassung:For generating a solid aerosol with small particle sizes, particularly a primary aerosol containing condensation nuclei for generating a highly mondisperse secondary solid aerosol, the invention provides a process for generating a solid aerosol from a solution aerosol, in which the latter is passed with a droplet size of less than 1 Ám through an expansion chamber. The invention also provides an apparatus for generating a solid aerosol, which is characterized by a solution aerosol generator for generating a solution aerosol having droplet diameters of less than 1 Ám and an expansion chamber connected thereto.
