| Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to an illumination system for vitreo-retinal surgery comprising an external cannula 1 of biocompatible, non-elastic transparent or translucent plastics material for conveyance of the liquid which is to be instilled, provided at the end which will be positioned close to the patient's eye with a restriction 3 in diameter and means 4 for fixing to the eye, and an optic fibre 2 located within said cannula 1 which has a reduction in diameter and capacity for diffusion over 360 degree corresponding to the reduction 3 in the diameter of cannula 1 and in the part of cannula 1 which is inserted in the eye. |
