An extremely high degree of support is achieved if the air cushion is configured approximately in the form of a U and its legs, oriented in the direction of the rear edge of the seat cushion, bear on a side support which terminates towards the front side of the seat cushion and is formed by the extremely dimensionally stable supporting surface.
