Ceramic lining for the gas-conveying channel of internal- combustion engine cylinder heads

The invention relates to a ceramic lining for the channel conveying the exhaust gas of internal-combustion engine cylinder heads, which provides advantageous thermal insulation of the exhaust gases flowing through the exhaust-gas pipe. The invention is intended to eliminate or reduce problems of thermal shock during recasting and stress loads caused by the different heat-expansion coefficients of the recasting material and the lining. According to the invention this is achieved in that the lining is divided into individual segments, i.e. into at least two segments, at least one segment of which is recast and the additional segments are inserted afterwards.
