Apparatus for sizing a thread bundle (1), comprises cooperating squeezer rolls (3, 5), in which a squeezer roll (3) dips into a size trough (7) and in which the sized thread bundle is conducted through the squeazer gap (4) of the squeezer rolls. The common tangent (13) of the squeezer rolls adjoining one another in the squeezer gap is orientated into the size trough (7) and the thread bundle is supplied from below into the squeezer gap. A size sprinkler (10) is associated with the gore situated before the squeezer gap. In this way, in spite of very high thread speeds, uniform distribution of the size onto the body of the threads may be achieved and in which special means for deflecting size sprayed back from the roll gap are not necessary.
