description The invention relates to an area of biotechnology. The process for the preparation of recombinant vaccines for hepatitis B comprises cultivating the producer strain of the HBsAg antigen consecutively on a nutrient medium enriched with a source of phosphorus and then on a nutrient medium which contains no sources of phosphorus, and subsequent disruption of the yeast cells and simultaneous isolation and purification of the antigen by adsorption chromatography on porous diatomaceous earth with subsequent ultracentrifugation in a density gradient from 1.1 to 1.3 kg/dm to obtain the final product. The resulting vaccines are used in medicine for prophylactic vaccination of humans against hepatitis B.
