Circular socks knitting machine

Socks knitted on a circular machine are pneumatically tensional during takedown, and everted, by appts. comprising inner and outer tube sections which are within the cylinder and which are above respective lower sections outside the cylinder and of larger dia. than the upper sections. Socks pass down the annular space between the tubes, tensioned pneumatically. Completed socks are everted through a suction gap between the upper section and the lower section of the innermost tube, the gap pref. being openable and closable by relative axial movement of the two sections.
