Zusammenfassung:Anti-facting cosmetics are prepd. by (i) extracting elder-blossom flowers (sambucus nigra) with water or water and alcohol and (ii) homogenising the extract with non-noxious diluents and/or carriers and opt. 2-10 wt.% (w.r.t. compsn.) of p-dimethylamino benzoic acid 2-ethyl-hexyl ester. Pref. the extraction is by soaking the flowers at 15-20 deg.C esp. with 3-10 wt.pts. water or water and alcohol. The water contains up to 40 vol.%, esp. 10-20 vol.% of alcohol. It also contains 5-10 vol.% sugar, esp. sorbitol.
