Zusammenfassung:Method of mfg. hollow blanks by a method of electroslag remelting is based on remelting a consumable electrode in a zone formed between an inner and a concentric outer mould which are moved relative to each other. The inner mould and the bottom plate between the moulds are heated to 80-95% of the electrode melting point and this is maintained throughout the operation. The produced bimetallic hollow blank consists of the electrode material and the material of the outer mould. This process continues until 70-90% of the height of the outer mould is reached.
