Zusammenfassung: | Chlorinated solvents are removed from chlorinated polymers which contain the solvents after a chlorination process, followed by drying and spraying, by treating the polymers with a non-halogenated aliphatic solvent or a halogenated aromatic solvent. The polymers are esp. rubber, polyethylene, polybutadiene, polypropylene and their copolymers and/or mixts. which have been treated with Cl2 gas while in soln. in a halogenated solvent, esp. CCl4. The greater part of the solvent is sped. by spraying the chlorolpolymer soln. into hot water, followed by drying, leaving about 4-8 wt.% of residual CCl4. The solvents (I) used for treatment are esp. alcohols, ethers, nitriles, aromatichalides, hydrocarbons, esters or acetone. |
