Zusammenfassung:The sail has battens (5) each housed in a pocket (6) of the Each batten is articulated at its forward end for horizontal pivoting, to a collar (4). The latter has an aerofoil section and is fitted on the mast, for accommodation in a pocket (3) of the sail. The collars can each have a rear slot (7) to receive a batten. The batten is received in the collar for pivoting horizontally about a theoretical axis coinciding with the slot. The collar can have an internal space of sufficient width that the forward end of the free to pivot in the collar. The batten can bear against a baffle (8) in the collar.
