Zusammenfassung:	An electronic warning signal system, especially for motor vehicles, is proposed which has an electro-acoustic transducer (5), an amplifier (3) and a pulse generator (1) which is operated at a fixed frequency and supplies to the amplifier (3) pulses having a predetermined curve shape, preferably square pulses. In order to produce a tone which is similar to a conventional striking horn, the amplitude of the pulses periodically jumps between two different, fixed values (A1, A2).
