Zusammenfassung:An impact tool for use as a down-the-hole drill or a mole has a stepped piston which divides the cylinder in three chambers. One is for the compressed air to apply the forward stroke, the second is for the return stroke, and the third is an annular passage which is permanently connected to atmosphere. A bore in the piston acts as a guide for an air tube with a collar in an undercut bore; the open-ended tube can slide in the air distributor and has a square opening for the access of compressed air for the return stroke.
