Zusammenfassung:A powder is made from rubber or vulcanised rubber by compressing the material under 0.2-0.7 MPa, pulverising the compressed material under a pressure of 0.2-50 MPa and shear force 0.03-5 N/sq.mm, while heating to 80-250 deg.C, and then cooling to 15-60 deg.C. Pref. heating or cooling cycle may be repeated. Polyethylene, 0.5-20 wt.%, is added to the source material. The process may be carried out continuously in a single- or multi-screw extruder.
