PROCESSO PER LA PURIFICAZIONE DI N.-ALCANI E LORO MISCELE

Process for the purification of n-alkanes or n-alkane cuts, which comprises cooling the n-alkanes or n-alkane cuts to be purified (for example a C11 to C18 n-alkane cut), to a temperature only a few degrees, i.e. 1 to 10 DEG C, under the solidification point in order to trigger crystallisation, allowing the crystals to grow not too rapidly at this temperature for some time, then cooling the mixture by a further 1 to 50 DEG C, depending on the composition of the product employed, separating the crystals from the rest which has not solidified, removing the liquid impurities in and on the crystals by stepwise increasing of the temperature, and obtaining the n-alkane or mixtures thereof, which have been purified in this manner, by a further melting step.
