Zusammenfassung:NH3 is recovered from a reaction gas obtd. by the contact reaction of N2 and H2 by (a) sepn. of NH3 and (b) sepn. of the remaining circulating gas into 2 streams, one of which, the blast gas, is passed to sepn. of the residual NH3 to separate the H2 concentrate, using polymer membranes at 0-50 deg.C, with recirculation of the H2 concentrate sepd. to the synthesis process, whilst the other is recycled to the contact reaction stage. The blast gas is taken in an amt. of 1-10% w.r.t. the total vol. of circulating gas; and the H2 concentrate is sepd. with a polyvinyltrimethylsilane (I) membrane at 15-45 bar.
