Zusammenfassung:Organomineral binder for prodn. of moulding sands and cores comprises 46-54 wt% silicate lumps, 0.3-4 wt% water soluble additives which decompose at the casting temp. of the liq. metal in the mould, balance water. The additive is pref. hydrol (2-4%), or urea (0.3-2%) phenol-formaldehyde resin (0.3-1.5%) or glycerine (0.3-2.5%). The compsn. facilitates stripping of sand from the cast articles.
