Zusammenfassung:A moulded case circuit-breaker has its latch mechanism arranged to cooperate with a trip interlock to prevent closure of the breaker contacts unless a removable static trip unit (28) and a trip solenoid (52) are both physically present within the moulded case. The trip interlock also ensures that the requisite electrical plug and socket connection between the trip unit and the solenoid is made before the circuit breaker can be put into service.
