Zusammenfassung:Lead electrodes for accumulators are encased in a pouch consisting of a lap or very fine fabric of oxygen- and acid-resistant synthetic fibres such as polyethylene, polyester or a mixt. of such synthetic fibres. The coating has a porosity of greater than 65 percent, pref. 70 to 75 percent, and a pore size of about 0.08 to 0.1 mm. The electrode pouches which are e.g. sewn with polyester and/or polyethylene thread, can be applied to negative and/or positive electrodes and give a considerable increase in mechanical strength and working life of the electrodes.
