Easily assembled seat with globular metal structure

The seat and back of the chair are formed by two elliptical section L-shaped hollow supports which are set parallel to each other and have two opposing semi-elliptical parts and a centre connecting web which leaves two elongated grooves. The ends of the hollow supports are provided with cavities into which the projections of an end cap can be fitted by spring force. The seat and back faces are formed by a row of independent upholstered elements with a flat stiff base, an upholstered layer and lateral rib-like projections which engage in the channels of the supports, if required with the interposition of plastics guide strips. This seat structure is then fitted to a supporting structure by suitable fastening device. The seats can be used singly or connected into rows.
