Zusammenfassung:The dummy head (1) is inserted in the mould, and its end is provided with a profiled groove (18) which is entered by the molten metal at the start of a casting cycle. In the bore (9) of head (1) is a spacer bush (12) located via a nut and used for insertion of a mandrel. Head (1) is mounted on a draw bar via two coupling halves (4,5) which provide axial and tangential adjustment respectively. Effective seals are provided between the dummy head, the mould wall and the mandrel.
