Zusammenfassung:Gypsum prods. are made by moulding ground natural gypsum dihydrate, followed by a heat treatment and hardening of the moulded body. The heat treatment takes place in air at 100-200 degrees C. The temp. rise occurs at a rate of 2-3 degrees/min. After this the prod. is cooled to =50 degrees C and the hardening occurs with moistening. Pref. heat treatment is sufficiently long to dehydrate 90-95 vol.% of the dihydrate. The gypsum is mixed with water prior to moulding so that the wt. ratio water: gypsum dihydrate is 0.05-0.1. The gypsum is used to produce building materials for internal and external use. The technique is a simple method of producing relatively non-porous material with a good resistance to water and frost.
