Zusammenfassung:	Novel compounds of 4-(thienylmethylamino)benzoic acid and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, a hypolipidaemic composition containing these compounds and a process for the preparation of these compounds are described. The compounds have the formula below where R is hydrogen or a C1 to C3 alkyl, and X, Y and Z, taken individually, represent H, Cl or Br provided that at least one of X, Y and Z is Cl or Br. These compounds can be used for reducing the lipids level in mammalian blood serum.
