Zusammenfassung:	Cpds. of formula (I): (where M = a bivalent metal such as Mg, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Sn) are useful as antimicrobials. (I) have much better fungicidal activity than a mixture of the metallic complexes of gamma-hydroxy-quinoline and of dimethyldithiocarbamate and may be used in lower concentrations and are effective against fungi (e.g. wheat smut) not controlled by the mixture. (I) are used as seed disinfectants and plant protection agents and tests showing activity against fungi such as Alternaria tenuis, Aspergillus niger, Aspegillus tenui, Botrytis cinerea, Botrytis allii, Fusarium culmorum, Helminthosporium turcicum and Trichothecium roseum are described. They are stable cpds. and give protection for prolonged periods.
