Measuring device for volumetric changes - is connected to a chamber in which chemical reactions take place under controlled conditions

The chemical reactions are esp. oxidation reactions. The appts. comprises a pressure balancing device and a pressure sensor, both connected to the chamber. The sensor output is connected to an electronic switching device, which controls the pressure balancing device and an integrator generating an integral of gas consumption w.r.t. time. Its output delivers a signal giving the gas volume changes in the chamber. The pressure sensor is a contact pressure gauge with an arm for the contact liquid level adjustment. The electronic switching device is a switching amplifier with a power output controlling simultaneously the pressure balancing device and the integrator. The pressure balancing device is an electrolyser. The integrator consists of a synchronous servomotor connected to a potentiometer without stops.
