Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to the field of nanoparticles of metal oxides and their use in the decontamination of Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA). The nano metal oxide(s) of the present invention have higher decontamination efficiency of CWA, which is due to the presence of high surface area, moisture content, hydroxyl groups, unusual chemical planes, Lewis acid/base sites and oxygen vacancies. The invention also provides a process for the production of nano metal oxides, which can be advantageously scaled to produce about 0.1 to lkglbatch of said nano metal oxides effective against CWA.
