Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to thermally efficient, easy to operate and readily repairable lid for ladle, furnace, tundish, crucible, pot or other containment system, either portable or stationary for a molten metal or other material. This invention relates to lid over ladle assembly using refractory insulation to reduce heat losses of molten metal'or anyother material held in that vessel assembly. The assembly allows intermittent removal of the molten metal or any other material held in it for pouring or tapping. This invention further relates to a lid over ladle assembly and method of use.
