Zusammenfassung:	Methods and topical compositions for the treatment of a dermatological disorder are provided. The topical composition includes 5-aminolevulinic acid, at least one penetration enhancer and at least one chelating agent. Further, methods and topical compositions for use in photodynamic therapy are disclosed, in which the topical composition is applied to the affected area of a patient for a period in the range of about 15 minutes to about 10 hours.
