The method of generating interleaved symbols in a multiplexed data steam for a satellite broadcasting application to a plurality of receivers, comprises : –ª allocating a plurality of data programs (P i,j ) to a plurality of primary multiplexers (MUX i ) according to a load balancing scheme ; –ª encoding in each primary multiplexer (MX i ) a plurality of data programs (P i,j ) according to a coding scheme at a predefined code rate for generating encoded frames (FECF) ; –ª generating super frames (SF) in each primary multiplexer (MX i ) by : –ª performing symbols generation by applying a symbol mapping function to the previous encoded frames (FECF); –ª time interleaving symbols according to a convolutional interleaving scheme by: –ª dispersing a predefined number of symbols by considering blocks of symbols (CU), called capacity unit, into a sliding time window, the length of the time window being defined by a interleaver length ; –ª generating at least a header for each super frame (SF) comprising at least an identifier, a synchronization indicator and the interleaving scheme ; –ª organizing payload of the super frame (SF) by considering a predefined set of interleaved symbols ; –ª multiplexing a set of super frames (SF) issued from a plurality of primary multiplexers (MX i ) into a carrier signal.
