Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a simple method of preventing flooding in properties by means of an anti-flooding device. The device is composed of a transmitter, a receiver and a control panel. The transmitter is inserted into the door frame and when the locking mechanism of the door is engaged a signal is sent to a receiver installed beside the water tank which signals to it that the door has been locked and that the water coming into the tank should stop. The transmitter is battery operated so that it will not be affected by electricity cuts. A light on the control panel signals to the user that the device is activated and the water flow has ceased. Once the lock is re-opened a further signal is transmitted to the receiver and the water flows again.
